This apartment is located in the beautiful, lively Sant'Ambrogio district (at 100 meters from my apartment) in one - that's my personal opinion - of the best areas of the whole Florence city center with everyhing you need in a range of 250 meters: supermarkets, fresh food markets, cinemas, pubs, cool young bars, restaurants, pizzerias, a flea market, newstands, pharmacies, groceries, bakeries, a theater, wash and dries, the Florence University of Architecture, a church, a synagogue, a mosque....! What do you need more?? This NO TRAFFIC area is still inhabited by "real" Florentines and the atmosphere in this district (Borgo la Croce, Via Pietrapiana, Piazza Ghiberti, Piazza Sant'Ambrogio, Via dei Macci) is really great and friendly...and you also have the chance to meet me having a cappuccino with brioche at Cibreo bar...!! ;) The apartment is small but cozy and situated in a perfect location in the Sant'Ambrogio/Santa Croce area! Recommended by Apartmentsinflorence.net and studentsVille.it staff, especially if you are alone, in a budget and if you really want to experience a period of your life in a lively, young area of the city center!

Small, simple studio flat located in Borgo La Croce, in the historical district of Sant'Ambrogio.

The apartment - renovated in 2012 - is small (25 square meters) but has everything you need for your stay in Florence: a sofa bed, an Lcd TV, a full equipped kitchen with oven, boiler, toaster, cooker hobs, a bathroom with shower, air conditioning, heating.

The flat it's located at the 2nd floor with no lift. It's quiet and bright and from the windows you can see the back of the La Nazione (local newspaper company) building.

The district:
Sant'Ambrogio
is definitely one of the best areas for living in the center of Florence. It's central but still inhabited by locals. Shops, restaurants, popular bars, the Florence University of Architecture and a colourful fresh food market are all located within a range of 200 meters from this apartment.

Good quality price ratio.

The price is the reason why this little studio gets so much attention. Be warned that if you cant deal with the cold or this is not the place for you, with utilities being so expensive in Italy turning on the heater is a last resort but even when it is on the tiny electric heater is useless in the dead of winter. It doesnt help that there is no insulation and that the cold multiplies in this dark room with one window. As for the shower be prepared for only 3 to 5 minutes of hot water. The apartment is located a 15 min walk from central florence and 30 mins from the SMN Rail Station. If you get used to it the place is good and cheaper than most student residences in Florence.
